Jesus calls Levi the tax collector to follow him as a disciple. Then Jesus attends a feast which Levi holds in his honor.
If you are one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, I encourage you to follow the Watchtower’s advice to examine the foundations of your religion. I pray you come to know the truth about Jesus, who is the truth. He said, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
Kris Lundgaard has written a couple of very helpful books on the Christian life, which may be described as a modern translation of the old Puritan author John Owen. While Owen is a very challenging read on multiple levels, partially due to the density of his prose, Lundgaard removes the language hurdle and helps us join in the labors of Owen.
